Word is still fine if the layout is locked and you only change a line offline. Tailor one draft to several jobs without retyping

One master draft should not become three Word copies. Keep the full history in the editor. Change the target line and the most recent bullets so they use the module names and tools from that JD—only where you really did the work. Switching templates changes type and spacing, not facts.

Export as soon as a version is sendable. Drafts live in this browser; clearing data or changing computers drops them. A dated PDF named for the role is safer than ten unfinished tabs.

Before the interview, use the one-minute intro on the same result bullet. The editor and the spoken story should share one set of facts.

What no editor can invent for you

A smooth free online resume editor still cannot invent a career. It aligns, wraps, switches templates, and exports. You still have to supply:

• Employer, title, and dates
• The module you owned (not “participated in the project”)
